The vehicle was first delivered to its original owner in Düsseldorf on April 14, 1953. The buyer was the Prince of Salm-Salm from Rhede in Westphalia. The Salm-Salm family is a well-known German princely house, with its administrative seat in Rhede. According to the original delivery documents, a Telefunken radio was also ordered with the car. In 2012, the coupé was registered in California with Boulevard Motorcar Co. The chassis, engine, and body numbers all correspond with the original delivery documents, confirming that the car retains its matching numbers.
