This beautiful and legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL was delivered to New York, USA, on September 01, 1955. It was one of only 64 vehicles in the rare light blue metallic DB353 with red leather interior 1079. According to the 300 SL Register, the last owner in the USA was a certain Donald A. Brose from Santa Cruz, California, in 1978, before it returned to Germany in 1988 and was registered in Regensburg.
In the mid-1990s, the car underwent an extensive restoration in silver gray metallic with a black leather interior. Most recently, the car was extensively technically overhauled in 2022 for 50,000 euros and presents itself in very nice general condition with coveted “matching numbers”
